Gerry, an unusual spirit doll came into our collection in 2010, we expected another tragic spirit lady but we were intrigued to learn that this doll was a completely different finding...
I search many places to add to my collection , it is very rare to find these items at boot fairs or antique fairs but on the rare occasion they can be found. Other genuine collectors also pass them on , and they can also be found at psychic fairs and old house garage sales, through people who donate them and also antique shops. It takes a while and a lot of searching to come across a genuine haunted item , and when you do go 'hunting' I strongly advise for you to take equipment with you to see what you can pick up.
I am a regular visitor of antique and second hand shops down at Rye and Faversham though it is uncommon to find haunted items there , a lady called Lois who works at a particular shop is aware that I am a collector and keeps in contact with me to let me know of items that are brought in.
I got a phone call from Lois one day , she explained she's had a very strange little doll brought into the shop by a lady , she said that this was the only item the lady donated where as some people bring in quite a few items. Lois explained that she kept standing the doll in a particular place and finding her elsewhere , she thought she was getting forgetful and losing it , but this kept happening she'd place the doll near the window and find her on a shelf, she finally placed the doll on a stand and found the doll laying on her face off of the stand. She also added that when she handled the doll she would get a strange feeling from it a cold rush of air and strong emotions. She knew I collected spirited items so this is why she told me.
As soon as I saw the doll I was instantly drawn to her , and when i held the doll, I could see what Lois meant , I felt a cold rush of air on my hands it was very strange. But I couldn't confirm yet if the doll had a spirit attached until we got her back home, so I purchased her straight away.
As soon as Michelle held her she also commented on the cold rush of air around her hands we decided to research her straight away. At about 1am when I was half asleep I saw a shadow which was moving very slowly cross my wall, I also felt someone repeatedly tapping my arm. I was so tired the next day after very little sleep , and after a long day at work, we began to investigate her in the evening.
The EMF meter went crazy, but we were mostly taken aback by the EVPs.
We expected to hear the usual female voice but what we heard was a deep voice which said the name 'Grace' twice.
I was quite worried at first because the voice was deep, my first thoughts were 'I hope we haven't encountered something dark/ demonic'.
So we sought the help of our medium friend, who reassuringly confirmed that the spirit attached to this doll was not demonic...but it was the spirit of a man in his late 30s. She described the image she saw to be a very handsome man with dark curly hair and Italian features but the main thing she described was the fact he was in a wheelchair.
We held sessions with the Pendulum and also with the help of the medium over a long period of time, through EVP he revealed his name to myself as Geronimo but clearly wanted to be called Gerry.
We established that 'Grace' was the name of the woman he loved, he made it clear that he always loved her and always will.

We established that 'Grace' was the name of the woman he loved, he made it clear that he always loved her and always will.
We gathered information month after month , he communicated very well and the EVPs i picked up were so clear, and these were done on my trusty tape recorder , I had used the professional evp meter I'd paid a lot for a few times, but as I have said time and time again , the tape recorder and microphone has always worked best for me.
Gerry tells us that he was born in Birmingham in the 1940s, but both his parents came from Italy , they came to England before he was born and owned a cafe where they both worked hard, Gerry tells us that he also used to help out there he had two sisters who also helped out.
Gerry tells us he had a happy childhood and at the age of 20 he became a stuntman in small films. He worked with horses, but the main stunts were diving. Over the years he had been given a lot of work and earned very good money.

He tells us that he was a brilliant diver and swimmer and that he had practiced very hard and was a healthy very physically fit young man. He also enjoyed long walks and jogging which kept him fit with his best friend Jack who had been best friends since the age of 6, they lived on the same street had grown up together and their families saw each other as family.
The feeling in the room changed when he mentioned how he met Grace, the atmosphere felt bright and there was a happy 'sunny' feeling which we all felt, he tells us that he had seen Grace around for many years but had never properly exchanged words with her only to smile and say 'hello' when passing each other - her parent's ran the rival cafe opposite his parent's. He said she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen and they always smiled at each other.
He eventually plucked up the courage to take her out and this became a regular thing , she also came on his travels when he was working as a stuntman. He tells us that they were a happy couple very much in love , he was always over the top with romantic gestures and regularly bought Grace her favorite flowers ; sunflowers. He planned to ask her to marry him.
They spent many years seeing each other when they could and eventually they did marry but had no plans for children. Grace worked as a hairdresser and couldn't always travel with Gerry when he had a job to go to.
Gerry tells us about 'the turning point' in his life , I myself felt an overwhelming sad feeling in the room and we all picked up on cold chills, after a high dive went wrong , Gerry became paralyzed from the waist down. He could no longer continue his job as a stuntman. Grace took care of him but he liked to be as independent as he could and still managed to work in his parent's cafe , he said after all - he could use his hands.
He accepted that he would be like this forever and though some days he felt down in the dumps, there were days where he kept busy , chatted to people and even made jokes calling himself 'an old cripple'
One night he was working quite late in the cafe making the pastries for the next morning , but he managed to get it all done quicker than he thought.
He quietly turned the key in the door heard noises from the living room - maybe Grace was listening to the radio , but as he turned into the room he was shocked and horrified to find Grace on the sofa, clothes on the floor, with another man, ...the other man being Jack. They froze and couldn't believe he was here.
He tells us of how angry he was, how he ordered them both out of his house and told Grace he didn't want to see her ever again. He didn't see Grace for a couple of weeks, she was staying with her parents, he thought he's give it time and then it'll all pass and she'd come back saying how sorry she was and that she loved him, but she eventually came back for her belongings - Gerry said at that point he felt ready to forgive and forget and was ready to let her back in , but what broke his heart most of all is that Grace admitted right there and then to him that she was in love with Jack that she was sorry that it happened but it couldn't be helped , they'd developed a 'bond' when both being there at the same time helping Gerry get over his accident, it 'brought them together'.

Gerry was lost for words helped her with her possessions and let her go.
Over the next few days Gerry told us he felt numb , empty and blamed himself for having the accident, for not being the same man that Grace had fallen in love with, he stated that it was all his fault for being a 'cripple' and unable to satisfy Grace , as instead of being lovers she was his carer.
We all felt the sadness and pain , Michelle became very tearful, we let Gerry know that we strongly disagreed with the fact he thought it was fault, but he continued to say it was.
Gerry told us how he became 'withdrawn from the world' , refusing to return to his duties at the cafe, isolating himself and refusing to take care of himself ; eating, washing , going out ... he didn't want to be alive anymore.
So Gerry told us how he'd given it a great deal of thought and made a big decision to take his own life. He explained how he took a very large, lethal amount of strong painkillers mixed with bottle after bottle of whiskey, he successfully took his own life.
Gerry tells us that it was his sister who eventually found him, he tells us that he became attached to his possessions which his sister inherited and took to her house 'down south' .
Gerry's spirit was attached to a broach which belonged to Grace which his sister kept at her house he was attached to this little broach for a very long time, until one day his niece was given a lovely doll. To Gerry's shock the doll strongly resembled Grace.

The doll had an identical hairstyle to Grace , the same color hair, facially there was a strong resemblance and her large blue eyes.
Gerry tells us that the doll is 'the spitting image' of Grace and this is why he chooses to be attached to her.
His niece kept the doll for a very long time, we strongly believe that the lady who brought this doll into Lois' shop must have been Gerry's niece.
The sunflowers with Gerry's doll/vessel were given as gift from myself (they are artificial) as Gerry mentions them in evp readings. They remind him of Grace as they were the flowers he always bought for her , he always had sunflowers in a vase in his home. He likes them kept close to him.
Gerry displays various activity you can really feel his presence with you in the room, I have felt strong feelings of sadness as well as others who also have, very cold rushes of air and temperature drops also when the doll is held, position change and sounds coming from the room he is kept, I have heard the floorboards creaking upstairs even when I have been home by myself, and seen shadows.

It has been quite a journey with Gerry , and his story is very sad. He will always love Grace regardless of what happened , the feeling will never go away.
The sunflowers are best kept with him as they were his and Grace's favorite flower so I keep them tucked into the clothing or by his side. I also buy fresh sunflowers sometimes and put them in a vase in the room he is kept.
The vessel/doll Gerry has chosen is a very beautiful doll with very striking features, here are some photos :
